MEET JILL

Jill was born in Upper Michigan to a family of freedom-loving, independent entrepreneurs. Growing up in Michigan, she worked in and became manager/owner of family businesses including a clothing store, a marina, and a large-scale logging operation. From her earliest days, Jill's parents and grandparents instilled in her a deep love of my country and the vast opportunities we enjoy. Hard work and self-reliance are the values she was taught to embrace and practice.

As a life-long conservative Republican, Jill believes in, and has fought for, the traditional Republican principles of lower taxes, limited government, and more personal freedom and responsibility. In Jill's case these aren’t simply words, they are actions. Her commitment to these principles during in the Nevada Assembly earned her a 94% conservative rating and an Award for Conservative Excellence from the American Conservative Union.

Jill's grandparents emigrated from Russia shortly after the Bolshevik revolution. They saw the evils of Communism firsthand and heard about the freedom and opportunity in America. They came here legally, became citizens, learned English, and instantly fell in love with their new home.

Jill and her husband, Tom moved to Reno in 1989, bought a home in Sparks in 1994, and started their manufacturing business in Sparks in 1999. She has taken the values of hard work and self-reliance to Carson City.  Jill believes deeply in the importance and responsibility of citizens being active in our political process and our representative form of government.
